Miniature cannon on a wooden carriage
A heavy hook-gun of 30 mm calibre with a thick barrel wrapped in metal wire and bands, fitted to a massive curved wooden stock. A metal hook projects beneath the barrel, by which the weapon was braced against a rampart when fired to absorb the recoil. The stock wood is dark brown and worn smooth, and the barrel has a dull surface, rusted in places.
